Add the softened cream cheese to a mixing bowl. Roughly chop the walnuts; leave a few bigger pieces if you want more texture.
Mash the cream cheese with a spatula or fork until smooth. Stir in the walnuts until evenly distributed.
Pour in the milk a little at a time, mixing after each addition. Stop once it’s spreadable but not runny.
If you have time, chill for 5 minutes to help it firm up. Serve with toast, crackers, or as a sandwich spread.
