If you have a minute, chill a serving glass in the fridge. Add ice if you’re using it.
Pour the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice into the glass. If you like a little pulp, don’t strain it.
Drop in the thin strip of grapefruit peel. Give it a gentle squeeze to release the oils; too much white pith can add bitterness, so keep it minimal.
Stir once or twice, lightly. Serve right away while it’s cold.
