Step-by-Step Method

5-step method
01

Sherbet Preparation

For the sherbet, put water and sugar in a pot. Stir occasionally to dissolve the sugar. After it starts to boil, boil for another 10 minutes, add the lemon slice, boil for another 2 minutes, then turn off the heat and let it cool.

02

Dough Mixing

In a deep bowl, mix the butter, powdered sugar, oil and egg until combined. Then add semolina, baking powder, vanilla and flour and knead a soft dough that does not stick to the hand.

03

Shaping Şekerpare

Take walnut-sized pieces from the dough, roll them and place them on an ungreased tray. Place almonds, hazelnuts or peanuts on top if desired.

04

Baking

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until golden brown. It may take time to brown, check carefully.

05

Sherbet and Serving

Dip hot desserts into cold syrup. When the dessert sinks to the bottom, remove it with the help of a strainer, place it on a serving plate and drizzle the remaining syrup over it. Let it rest for 3-4 hours and serve.
