Oven Ground Beef and Rice Stuffed Green Bell Peppers Recipe
This ground beef stuffed green bell peppers recipe uses a simple tomato sauce and water mixture to cook quick white rice right in the filling. It’s easy to follow: mix the malzemeleri-style filling, stuff the peppers, and bake until tender.
Ingredients
1. For the filling
2. For stuffing
Step-by-Step Method
Prep the oven and peppers
Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the green peppers, remove seeds and ribs, then rinse and drain.
Mix the filling
In a bowl, combine ground beef, diced onion, quick-cooking rice, tomato sauce, water, and garlic powder. The mixture will look saucy; the rice absorbs liquid as it bakes.
Stuff the peppers
Spoon the mixture evenly into the peppers. Leave a little space at the top so the rice can expand without spilling. Place tops back on if you like.
Bake until tender
Stand the peppers upright in a baking dish. Pour any extra sauce mixture into the bottom of the dish. Cover with foil and bake 35 minutes, then uncover and bake 10 minutes more.
Rest and serve
Let the peppers sit for 5 minutes, then spoon some of the sauce over the top and serve hot.
