01

Step 1

When making Italian Griss, first put the ingredients we need to use in the dough kneading bowl or a bowl, in the following order:

02

Step 2

To knead the grissine, add water (not tap water), sourdough, fresh yeast, olive oil, sugar and flour and salt into our bowl.

03

Step 3

Our grissini dough is kneaded in a dough kneading bowl or by hand in a bowl until it is homogeneous. The homogeneous grissini dough is kneaded for another 2-3 minutes to complete the kneading process.

04

Step 4

Let's divide our entire dough into 5 equal parts and knead each part well in our hands, then knead it in a long and thin way and place it on a tray. Let's apply this process to the other grissini dough.

05

Step 5

Then, let's put stretch film or a damp cloth on the grissini dough to prevent it from drying out and let it ferment at room temperature for 1-2 hours.

06

Step 6

Let's put the fermented grissini dough on our counter. Let's stretch the dough on both sides to make it thin and long, apply light pressure on the entire surface with the palm of our hand and spread it lightly on the floor.

07

Step 7

Let's cut our long, thin grissini dough into little finger-thick pieces using a knife or mica.

08

Step 8

Let's stretch the cut grissini dough at both ends and place it on a tray, spaced apart.

09

Step 9

Let's repeat this process until all the grissini dough is finished.

10

Step 10

Let's bake our grissini sticks in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes until they get a color.

11

Step 11

Let's let our cooked Italian grissini sticks cool down and you can enjoy them crispy after 30-60 minutes.
