English Muffin Bread Recipe (Crispy Texture in Pan)
English muffin bread recipe is a bread prepared with yeast dough and suitable for toast and breakfast with its porous structure. In this recipe, the ingredients are few and the steps are clear: mix the dough, let it ferment, bake it in a mold, and when you slice it, fry it lightly in a pan. In the "How to" section, we are careful not to knead the dough too much to protect the pores.

Step-by-Step Method
Mix dry ingredients
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda and salt until homogeneous.
Add liquids
Add warm milk and warm water little by little and mix with a spatula. The dough should remain soft and sticky; Don't knead too much, this is important for the pores.
First fermentation
Cover the bowl and let the dough rest in a warm place until it rises (about 60–90 minutes).
Prepare the mold
Lightly grease the cake/bread mold and sprinkle cornflour on the bottom. This gives the bread the classic “muffin” touch.
Put the dough in the mold and let it rest again
Pour the dough into the mold and smooth the top. Let it sit for another 30-45 minutes until it rises slightly.
Bake
Bake in a preheated 190°C oven for 35–40 minutes. Check until the top is browned and the inside is cooked; If it's browning too quickly, cover it loosely with foil.
Cool and slice
Leave it in the mold for 10 minutes, then take it out and cool completely on the wire rack. When slicing, cut gently, without pressing the knife.
Serving suggestion
Toast the slices briefly in a pan or toaster. It goes well with breakfasts with butter, honey or eggs.
