Ingredients
1. For the cake
2. For the cream (frosting)
Step-by-Step Method
Prepare the oven and mold
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Grease a medium sized cake tin; If you want, put wax paper on the base.
Mix dry ingredients
In a large bowl, mix granulated sugar, flour and baking soda with a short stir. It is enough to leave no lumps.
Prepare hot mixture
Take water, 1 glass of butter and margarine in the pot. When the oil melts and the mixture becomes hot, remove it from the stove.
Assemble dough
Pour the hot mixture over the dry ingredients. Mix with a whisk until smooth.
Add egg and sour cream
When the mixture has cooled down a bit, add the eggs one by one and whisk. Add sour cream; Obtain a homogeneous dough.
Bake
Transfer the dough to the mold. Bake for 30 minutes; If the toothpick comes out clean, take it out of the oven. Let it rest in the mold for 10 minutes and cool it on a wire rack.
Make the cream base
Heat 1/2 cup butter, milk and cocoa powder in small saucepan. When the cocoa is fully opened, remove it from the stove and let it warm.
Thicken the cream
Add powdered sugar little by little to the warm cocoa mixture and whisk. Add vanilla and peanut butter. If it is too thick, you can add 1-2 spoons of milk.
Cover and serve
When the cake is completely cooled, spread the cream on it. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts if you want. Slice and serve.
