Chicken and Broccoli Casserole Recipe (Cheddar, Curry)
An easy chicken casserole recipe made with chicken breasts, broccoli, and a cheddar-rich sauce with a light curry note. You’ll spread a seasoned stuffing-style crumb topping over the casserole and bake until golden. Clear ingredients and simple how-to steps make it weeknight-friendly.
Ingredients
1. For the topping
2. For the casserole
Step-by-Step Method
Preheat and prep
Heat the oven to 190°C / 375°F. Lightly grease a medium baking dish so the casserole lifts out easily.
Get the broccoli ready
Cut broccoli into bite-size florets. Keep it crisp by using it raw, or steam for 2–3 minutes if you prefer it softer.
Mix the sauce
In a bowl, stir together mayonnaise, lemon juice, and curry powder. Add salt if you want a bit more seasoning.
Build the base
Lay the chicken breasts in the baking dish. Scatter broccoli over the top, then spoon the sauce across everything.
Add the cheese
Sprinkle the shredded sharp cheddar evenly over the sauce.
Finish with the topping
Toss the stuffing-style mix with melted butter just until lightly coated. Spread it over the cheese in an even layer.
Bake and rest
Bake for 45 minutes. If the top browns too fast, loosely cover with foil for the last 10 minutes. Rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
