Chewable Pistachio Bar Recipe (With Condensed Milk)
A chewy peanut bar recipe prepared with condensed milk and coconut on a crunchy base and baked in the oven in a short time. In this recipe, you measure and mix the ingredients, press the base, spread the top filling, and serve by slicing.
Ingredients
1. For the base
2. For the topping
Step-by-Step Method
Prepare the oven and the mold
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a medium-sized square mold and line the bottom with baking paper; Leave a margin on the edges for easy removal later.
Mix the dry ingredients
Mix flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. If there are sugar lumps, break them up with your hands.
Add the oils and make crumbs
Add cold butter and margarine. With your fingertips or a pastry cutter, grind the mixture to a crumbly texture like coarse sand; Be careful not to heat it too much.
Press the base
Pour the crumb dough into the mold and press firmly with the bottom of a glass. In this way, the bottom of the bar is collected without falling apart.
Prepare the topping
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs briefly. Add condensed milk and stir; then add coconut and chopped peanuts.
Spread and bake the topping
Spread the top mixture you prepared evenly over the base. Bake for 25 minutes; Take it out of the oven when the edges are slightly colored and the middle part holds together.
Cool and slice
Cool the mold completely on a wire rack. When it is well assembled, take it off the paper and cut it into square bars. Wiping the knife with warm water before serving makes slicing easier.
