Ingredients
For the cake
Step-by-Step Method
Prepare the oven and mold
Set the oven to 160°C. Grease and flour the loaf cake mold; so the cake comes out without sticking.
Cream the oils Bring to the consistency
Beat butter, margarine and shortening in a large bowl for 2–3 minutes. The mixture should be smooth; Don't let it get too hot.
Add the sugar
Add granulated sugar little by little and beat for another 3-4 minutes. When the color lightens a little, the consistency settles.
Add the eggs one by one
Add eggs one by one; Beat after each addition until the mixture comes together. Scrape off what sticks to the edges with a spatula.
Add the flour in a controlled manner
Add the flour in 2 batches. Run the mixer at low speed for a short time; Stop when the flour disappears completely. Over-beating will make the cake tight.
Add vanilla and soda
Add vanilla. Then slowly add 7UP/lemon soda and mix gently with a spatula; Try not to deflate the bubbles too much.
Bake
Pour the dough into the mold and smooth the top. Bake for 90 minutes; Check after 75 minutes. If the toothpick comes out with slightly moist crumbs, it is cooked.
Cool and slice
Let the cake rest in the mold for 10–15 minutes, then transfer it to the wire rack. When it cools completely, slice it; so it doesn't fall apart.
